Recently，the Sanxia energy storage project was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation. This project is currently the largest series-type energy storage power station in China. HiTHIUM provides advanced energy storage battery products and solutions that ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency during project operations.

The Sanxia energy storage project

This project has a total installed capacity of 200MW/400MWh and is in Coastal Port Industrial Park, Yancheng City, Jiangsu province. This is one of the first energy storage projects on a grid-scale level included in Jiangsu’s electric power planning, but also a major new energy storage project in the coastal region of Jiangsu. The project can independently contribute to frequency control and peak shifting, significantly enhancing power supply capacity and renewable energy consumption. It will also provide robust support for Jiangsu's power system modulation capacity, ensuring a stable power supply, especially in the summertime.

Based on the requirements of this project, HiTHIUM developed a new generation 314Ah battery solution for utility-scale energy storage, featuring advanced materials and manufacturing technology with a cycle life of up to 11,000 cls. This product improves system consistency, efficiency, and the levelized cost of energy, which ensures reliable local energy utilization and safe grid operation of the project.
