Ningxia Tengger Desert New Energy Base, one of the first 10 million kW-level projects of national bases in desert and Gobi areas, has firstly put into operation in December, featuring a 100MW/200MWh energy storage power station. The base possesses a total installed capacity of 13 million kW of new energy and a total planned investment of more than CNY 85 billion. As the main equipment supplier, HiTHIUM provides its cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) products, including battery cells, containers and other products, which contribute to ensure the reliable supply of clean energy.
The construction of large-scale wind power and photovoltaic bases in desert and Gobi regions is an important initiative for China to promote clean energy transition and improve energy supply capacity. Ningxia Tengger Desert New Energy Base is born under this background, undertaking the mission of enhancing power system stability and cross-regional power supply.
Facing the harsh environment of sand, dust, extreme temperature, and large temperature difference between day and night, HiTHIUM’s self-developed high-quality BESS products ensure the stable operation under extreme conditions of -30℃~60℃. Meanwhile, equipped with high-grade protection design, the containers can protect the operation from sand and dust erosion.
After connection to the grid, the first phase of Ningxia Tengger Desert New Energy Base will provide 1.8 billion kWh of clean electricity annually, which can meet consumption need of 1.5 million households for a year. With excellent self-developed BESS products, HiTHIUM is devoted to achieving national carbon neutrality goals and securing individual energy needs.
