WFES 2026 | HiTHIUM Debuts Its 8-Hour Long-Duration Energy Storage Solution on the Global Stage

From January 13 to 15, the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. As a global leading provider of full-scenario integrated energy storage solutions and services, HiTHIUM showcased a comprehensive portfolio of energy storage products, demonstrating its system-level capabilities across diverse application scenarios. Among the highlights were the ∞Power 6.9MWh 8h long-duration energy storage (LDES) system—designed for all-day green power—and its core enabler, the ∞Cell 1300Ah 8h dedicated LDES cell. This marked the first international exhibition debut of HiTHIUM’s 8-hour long-duration energy storage solution.

Exhibition Overview

As renewable energy capacity continues to expand across the Middle East, power systems are facing increasing demand for long-duration flexibility, day-and-night power balancing, and stable operation under high-temperature conditions. In response, HiTHIUM has developed a system-oriented long-duration energy storage solution spanning cell design, system architecture, and safety frameworks, providing strong support for building resilient, all-weather green power systems in the region.

∞Power 6.9MWh BESS

The ∞Power 6.9MWh BESS adopts a new architecture specifically designed for 8-hour LDES applications, delivering improvements in cost efficiency, operational performance, and safety. By reducing redundant structural components, the system lowers material costs and improves assembly efficiency. Intelligent control systems and end-to-end active balancing strategies reduce auxiliary power consumption by over 30%, improve temperature control accuracy by 20%, and enhance balancing capability by approximately 20 times compared with conventional solutions. The system also integrates high-strength steel band reinforcement, a dual pressure-relief venting system, and next-generation thermal insulation materials, enabling stable operation under extreme conditions of up to 800°C and 300 kPa pressure.

As the core foundation of native 8-hour long-duration energy storage, the ∞Cell 1300Ah dedicated LDES cell delivers breakthroughs in capacity, safety, and lifespan. With a single-cell capacity of 1300Ah—more than four times that of mainstream cells—it reduces component for the system by over 30%, effectively lowering initial investment costs. A multi-level safety protection system ensures non-propagating thermal runaway, while HiTHIUM’s self-developed ultra-thick electrode technology enhances performance and cost efficiency by addressing challenges such as electrode cracking and electrolyte infiltration.

Hithium & Infinity Power Signing Ceremony

During the exhibition, HiTHIUM Energy Storage held a signing ceremony with Infinity Power to supply the Nefer Benban project, located in Aswan, Egypt, with a 120 MWh energy storage system. This marks a further expansion of HiTHIUM’s large-scale energy storage applications in the MENA region, providing strong support for local renewable energy integration and grid stability.
